Welcome to Cornerstone

Cornerstone provides management and systems consulting services to organisations seeking to implement best practice Corporate Performance Management (CPM). We operate primarily in Australia and are currently serving the states of NSW, VIC and ACT.

Management consulting skills help us to understand the business vision, and expert systems consulting skills help us to design the appropriate solution.

We define CPM solutions as those involving strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, multi-dimensional analysis, dashboards, scorecards and all manner of other useful executive management tools, delivered through a common web interface. The business intelligence capabilities are often delivered in conjunction with a datawarehouse and data marts.

The consultants of Cornerstone have many years of experience in CPM implementations and are committed to sharing their wealth of knowledge through the publication of Best Practice Guides covering specific processes and techniques. We hope that you find the articles in our first series – Budgeting and Planning - useful and welcome the opportunity to discuss any of the topics covered in more detail. After all, we're here to help!

Global Release of ‘Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting to the Max’

Cornerstone Performance Management is excited to announce the worldwide release of a new book dedicated to the transformation of the budgeting and planning process.  Co-authored by our very own Steve Bows, it sets out a series of easy-to-follow steps to delivering time-savings of 30-50% on the typical budget cycle.  Addressing all aspects of the process, from the strategy all the way through to the logistics, and the appropriate use of supporting technology, it is essential pre-reading for any finance manager considering an overhaul of the planning process.

‘Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting to the Max’ is available direct from the publishers. Click here. A special discount is available for Australian customers – please email cmc@cornerstone.com.au to obtain the promotional code.

Cognos Forum – Prize Draw Winner

Many thanks to all of those Cognos customers who visited our stand during the recent Cognos Forum on the Gold Coast.  We hope you each found some useful information to take away, whether it was the solution to a particular Cognos issue, or just a general awareness of the breadth and depth of our experience.  We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Over the three days, we received 84 entries for our prize draw, and the winner of the Nintendo Wii was Patrick de la Pena from Baxter Healthcare (top right).   We understand that he has already had a few late nights making the most of his new acquisition!

On the right: the Cornerstone team at Cognos Forum 2008, (from left to right) Rob Worthington, Victoria Toy, George Kirkham, Jasminka Dukic-Jovicevic, Kat Blumer, Robert Mattiuzzo, Amish Ranchhod, Steve Bows and Glynn Williams
